"I’d describe my style as a modern-day Peg Bundy. She’s a hot redhead. She always wears the same thing, but it’s different. Different patterns and colour combos. She’s my number one style inspiration. I’m also inspired by the style in John Waters movies. The fashions and hairstyles in Female Trouble are amazing."
"When I was a kid, I remember visiting Toronto from Windsor and seeing all the wild and crazy fashions: bright colours, cool studs, and big hair and shoes. No one does that anymore. Toronto is kinda going through a hipster and sloppy clothes phase. I get excited when I see someone dressed up. I love anything from the 60’s to 80’s. I know a lot of girls — especially Burlesque girls who go for the 40’s and 50’s, but I love the 80’s. It’s a great look and I like blending 50’s fashion with 80’s fashion to create something unique. 70’s fashion is virtually ignored today, but you can have a lot of fun with flashy disco clothes too."
"I like smutty clothes (laughs). Smutty is basically a polite way of saying slutty, and I’m not going around saying I’m a slut. When I was younger, I wanted to be sexy, but not sexual — like Betty Boop. I have more substance than just being sexy, but it’s fun playing the role visually. Women are always going to attract negative attention from men no matter what they wear. I used to dress like a librarian and still got plenty of looks from guys. Now I'm delightfully trashy on purpose (laughs). It’s sad when someone looks trashy and doesn’t know it. I put a lot of time and effort in looking trashy (laughs)."
