TorontoVerve: "What has surprised you the most about yourself this year?"

Amanda: "I've been stepping out of the box more and doing things that make me feel uncomfortable. This weekend, I'll be talking in front of a large group of people and I'm terrified."

Jenna: "Am I allowed to swear?"

TorontoVerve: "Sure. Go ahead."

Jenna: "My style is f@%ing weird. I have tons of clothes and I just put on whatever I feel like. Today I felt like tying a scarf into my braid instead of wearing it as an actual scarf. I'm not super high-end, which is very good. I just try to be different. I really love the 90's. At one point I was really into 90210 -- not the new one but the really old old one. Now I'm more into Ann Marie Hoang's style. She's also known as Master of Disguise on Instagram.  She's a huge babe and she dresses like amazing. I try to appropriate from her sometimes."

TorontoVerve: "What's your favourite memory in life?

Jenna: "One time my friend asked me what was my biggest adventure was and I answered, 'being in love.' That was a good memory."

TorontoVerve: "So I take it the adventure didn't last?"

Jenna: "It does with different things. It carries on from thing to thing -- not just person to person. Like 'I'm in love with this, I'm in love with that and I'm in love with you.' It keeps going. Once you learn how to love, you can't undo it."

"My style is psyche-funka-not-normal-delic. Jimi Hendrix and George Clinton inspire me. Their style is just different. They do their own thing and I respect people who do their own thing and not follow anybody else."

Victoria: "I'm not quite certain what my style is. It's not a distinctive look. It's whatever I throw on each day. However I feel. My parents influence my fashion. The old Saigon era. It's kinda French Vietnamese."

TorontoVerve: "What's your favourite memory in life?"

Victoria: "Meeting my partner. It was love at first sight."

"My style is hobo-chic. It's just things thrown together -- androgynous. Alexa Chung inspires me. She's carefree and has that London street-style I like."

Brooke: "My style can be a little bit granny, futuristic, preppy or kinda like a bum."

TorontoVerve: "Are you all excited about 2014?

Brooke: "Yes, it's a fresh start. I have a completely blank slate now."

"I bought this dress because it's colourful and I love sunflowers."

"Whatever's free is my style. My housemate inspires my fashion because he always goes vintage picking with me. I think it's nice to reuse clothes."

Marie: 'Adoring Tilda Swinton'

"I adore actress Tilda Swinton. She's in her 50's and she's her own self. I think it's important to be who you are. We're older women -- we got grey hair. Just be yourself -- that's what it's all about."

Rohann & Chelsea

Rohann: "My style is evolving yet stays casual."

Chelsea: "I like classic styles. I don't do colour because I think it's easier to get dressed with a wardrobe of all neutrals -- it's timeless."

Rosemary: "Practical & Elegant"

"I thrift a lot -- so everything is pretty much secondhand. I like the 70's and 90's eras. I love Solange Knowles' style. It's so much better than Beyonce's."

Andrew & Chris: Colour Block Etiquette

Andrew: "My style depends on how I feel. I get a lot of inspiration from fashion blogs like Street Etiquette from New York."

Chris: "My style inspiration comes from the classic 80's era. I love colour blocks. You don't necessary have to put colours together to show fashion sense -- a lot of it has to do with creativity. It also depends on how I feel. I can go crazy or be classy."

Megu, Rika & Hatsune: Hunting for Vintage Treasure

We met Megu, Rika and Hatsune on Ossington Avenue as they were hunting for vintage treasures. The fashionable trio are professional pickers from Japan and plan to sell their classic finds back home.
