Michael "Pinball" Clemons for Mayor!

Actually, Toronto can only wish to have Michael Clemons as mayor. I briefly met Michael and his stunning wife Diane at the Rally for Sick Kids with Cancer event at the Exhibition Place last night and couldn't help but be impressed by his grace and charm.

Arresting Style: A Day at Pam Chorley's Fashion Crimes Boutique

Walking into Fashion Crimes Boutique, you're instantly overwhelmed by a kaleidoscope of brilliant colours, sparkling jewelry and ravishing gowns. My first impression was falling into Alice's rabbit hole and entering Wonderland. Some of what they offer are cocktail dresses, opera gloves, elegant stockings, evening shoes and frilly handbags. Seeing the joyous faces of the young ladies who were scouring for the perfect dress was proof positive that Fashion Crimes was their dream come true.

Meet some of their staff:

Kanchana

Carissa is wearing a Jezebel TivMini dress in a beautiful black on white floral pattern. The outfit was topped off with a black crini bright red taffeta sash with a bow in back. "The retro look of this dress suits my style," she says. "I love to get dolled up like they did in the 50's with a modern edge."

No stranger to TorontoVerve, Frankie is wearing a jezebel tivoli mini in an enticing yellow and aqua print. Perfect for any party.

Logan is wearing rooster feather epaulettes - a trademark he made for himself, channelling Lady Gaga.

Lauren is wearing the hepbourne stretch for a sophisticated look, accessorized with a modern twist.

Introducing Michael Boustany

Toronto musician Michael Boustany has called Japan his new home for over five years now, but the talented artist couldn't help flying back to catch the Toronto International Film Festival, play some gigs and visit with friends and family.

During his brief stay, I shot these promotional photos for him, which not only capture his quiet demeanour but his daring side too.

Above, Frankie appears courtesy of Fashion Crimes boutique.

Today Michael will be jetting back to Tokyo where he will be putting the finishing touches on his 2nd CD and rehearsing for Japan Music Week - a week long industry event held from November 8th to 14th.

To catch his melodic rock sounds, be sure to visit Michael's website.

Valerie: Red Carpet Stunner

With her vintage Gaultier purse, dress by Sonia Rykiel, boots by Walter Steiger, and Alexis Bittar jewelry, Valerie is definitely red carpet ready.

After 11 days, TIFF finally comes to an end. During this time, I've seen 30 films, several movie stars and a new TIFF building. It's been a lot of fun. I got to see everything I wanted with the exception of seeing the Bruce Springsteen interview hosted by Edward Norton, but there was no way I was paying $500 for a scalper ticket.

I hope you enjoyed my coverage of the festival. It was my pleasure sharing both my love for photography and film with you.

TIFF 2010: Connor Paolo, Sean Nelson & Danielle Harris at the Stake Land World Premiere

In Stake Land, newly orphaned Martin (Paolo) joins a mysterious loner (Nick Damici) in his journey to New Eden (otherwise known as Canada), a safe haven from blood-thirsty vampires. Along the way, they team up with a nun (Kelly McGillis), an ex-soldier (Nelson) and a pregnant songstress (Harris) to not only battle the night creatures but a merciless cult as well.

Stake Land is a gory action-packed film that is thoroughly entertaining. Vampire enthusiasts who are bored of the sparkly vampire trend (or Twilight films) won't be disappointed. The vampires in this film are creepy and vicious. Inevitably, when some of the cast meet their demise, you genuinely feel empathy, which is a credit to Dacimi and Jim Mickle's script writing.

At this time, Stake Land does not have a release date yet.
