Vivian in Kensington Market

We didn't see Vivian until she had already passed us, but her confident walk and cool boots drew us in. After we caught up to her, we were both bowled over by her kindness and rosy cheeks. Here, Vivian is genuinely smiling at a passing cyclist who couldn't resist shouting his approval.

Jaime and her uncle on Bloor

Turns out that Jaime's uncle is also a fan of the Sartorialist. Initially, he quipped that I'd probably prefer just taking a shot of his shoes or bag, but who would want to miss his remarkable ensemble.

Shaka and Gucci in Yorkville

Shaka was walking swiftly through Yorkville with little Gucci following closely behind. Shaka's undeniable style stopped us in our tracks and we chased him down for this photo op. And it's obvious that Gucci has style of his own.

Riki on Queen Street West

Riki ran passed Dorothy and I on Queen Street West. Her cool hair cut and fashionable ensemble (love the boots) quickly caught our attention. Although, she was pressed for time, she was kind enough to be the first person to pose for my blog.

Oprah at TIFF '09

I fought hard to get this close up of Oprah Winfrey at the "Up in the Air" premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson Theatre on Saturday September 12th, 2009. The crowd was in awe and the camera flashes were blinding. Staff and her entourage made it difficult to get close. Thank God for long lenses.

Megan Fox at TIFF '09

Megan Fox attended her "Jennifer's Body" premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson Theatre on Thursday September 10th, 2009. The paparazzi was at a frenzy and the fans were out of control. I managed to get a few candid shots while she introduced the film.

Chris Rock at TIFF '09

Dorothy and I caught Chris Rock twice during TIFF '09. Once at the "Good Hair" premiere and another at his 1-on-1 interview at the Isabel Bader Theatre. We briefly met him as he exited in the back to his SUV. He was very gracious with fans and drove off in the front seat. Dorothy shot this photo while I shook hands with him.

George Clooney at TIFF '09

George Clooney arrived early at his "Up in the Air" premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson on Saturday September 12th, 2009 to greet fans. He was very personable and receptive. A woman couldn't find anything for him to sign but a cheque, and Clooney joked that he couldn't oblige signing anything that could be cashed. This was a first that I encountered an A-list celebrity giving this kind of attention to admirers.

Canadian Graffiti

Queen Street alleyways are a great place to find graffiti art. It’s also a great place to photograph.

Dance Video

I shot & cut a video for Lindsay Ritter's Commercial Jazz Workshop with Leon Blackwood at Canada's National Ballet School Jarvis Street Campus. Traditionally, videos like this are shot primarily by pointing the camera at the studio mirror, but I found that method to be too dull. I wanted to capture the joy and fun that the dancers were having and wanted to entertain viewers. Hopefully, you'll feel that I've achieved my goal.

Boston the Dog

Boston is our first dog. He's a beagle and Boston Terrier mix. Here I have captured him reflecting while looking out the car window on Wellesley Street -- probably thinking about that hydrant he loves so much.

Graffiti in Cabbagetown

My partner Dorothy knew of this amazing location in Cabbagetown, where we shot Genevieve, who starred in my short film, Release. It was a long night of filming and photographing, but fortunately for us, she was very patient.

Mark Wahlberg Was Here

I took this photo of Anthony in an alley off of Toronto Street. There were many curious restaurant servers watching us during their smoke break. They told us that we weren't the first they observed shooting. Apparently, Mark Wahlberg shot scenes for Max Payne here as well.

Construction Junction

I took this photo around the Lansdowne and Bloor area. The construction site made a great backdrop for Katie who had no trouble carrying the heavy guitar case.

Vanity Fair Inspired Horse Shoot

I wanted to do a Vanity Fair inspired horse shoot and the opportunity arose in the town of Erin (about an hour north of Toronto) on May 2nd, 2009. I was worried that the horses would freak out by my flash, but as it turned out they liked mugging for the camera.

Scarborough Bluffs

The Scarborough Bluffs is a great place to take beach photos. Who would ever think that this small locale is in the Greater Toronto Area. I’ve been told that this photo looks like a fragrance ad. I love how Jill & Jeff are totally in the moment.

Financial District

Anf needed photographs for his blog and yours truly volunteered. This photo was taken off King Street in the Financial District. Little did we realize that it was prohibited to take photographs in this courtyard surrounded by these financial buildings. We were quickly asked to move on.
