Violaine: 'Feels Like a Boy'

Violaine loves to add colour in what she wears and her groovy pants is evident of that.

Her due date is the first week of November and she tells us that all indications point to a boy.  Let's hope she keeps us posted.

Jeanne Beker: Canada's Fashion Royal

When I started this street style blog, I knew (or hoped) that one day my camera would capture the impeccable style of Fashion Television's Jeanne Beker.

[Pictured: Jeanne Beker at the Denis Gagnon closing show, Toronto's LG Fashion Week]

Ever since I was a teenager, I've been a fan of her iconic half hour show, which flourished into its own successful television network in 2001.

She's on a first name basis with the biggest names in fashion, an accomplished author, a fashion designer and, of course, a regular panel judge on Canada's Next Top Model.

Indeed, it's no exaggeration to say that she's an inspiration to all Canadians who have a passion for fashion.

Corrinna & Tim: Feelin' the Need for Tweed

This past Saturday the first annual Tweed Ride Toronto took place bringing together approximately 400 tweed riders in the downtown core.

The worldwide event originated in London in 2009 celebrating style and cycling in the name of charity. Locally, tickets were sold for $15, which included high tea, a swag bag, dinner and a party.  And to spice things up, prizes were awarded for "Most Distinguished Chap", "Most Lovely Lady" and "Most Awe-Inspiring Moustache."

All proceeds going to Bikes Without Borders -- a non-profit organization using bikes and bike-related solutions to assist marginalized communities in both developing and developed worlds.

Looking dapper in their vintage tweed, Corrinna and Tim loved the whole experience.  "It was great to see everyone dressed up -- all for the same cause," said Tim, who also commented on the Occupy Toronto rally, which ran simultaneously.  "On one side of the street you have all these angry people and on the other, all these happy tweed riders.  It was quite interesting."

Ivan & Erin: South Asian Inspiration

Ivan & Erin quickly caught my eye in Kensington Market.  "India really influences my style," Erin told me.  "I love the colours and accessaries.  It's beautiful."

And like a true gentleman, Ivan adopted the South Asian style to complement his partner.   "I'm very influenced by her style and it's always great to explore other cultures."

"I like vintage 60's & 70's."  We like it too.
