Nigel - Maybe most telling about the first picture is the sign that appears to be hanging above your subject's head. Always on the lookout for summer wear that looks like the answer to the sultry heat of Summer 2011, I like the simplicity of this ensemble - particularly the grown up shoes!
What grabbed me the most though is the gentleman in the background, in the same picture, who is carrying a baby on his chest. As manly as he appears there is a nurturing gentleness in his hands and arms as he literally cradles the infant. That is the security of a loving parent - what a treat to see a man, black man at that, so completely at one with a child - not uncommon at all but unfortunately rarely celebrated...Nice shot.
