Lydia
Lydia: My style is girly and a little bit vintage. My mom inspires me. I like to look at old pictures of her and copy her style. It was so effortless and cute. It's so different from who she is now. I'm sure ten years from now my style will be very different. It's kinda cool that my mom and I dressed similar when we were about the same age.
TorontoVerve: What's the best advice you've received in life?
Lydia: My prof recently told me that you have to take a leap of faith sometimes -- especially in the art industry, As an artist, you don't really know where your next pay cheque is going to come from, but you should just go for it because if you don't, it's never going to happen.
Check out Lydia's artwork on Instagram. "I paint mostly nude women with pumpkin heads. I have an obsession with the human body and I like the displacement of the face. People rely so much on getting information from people's faces, but you get more from the human body. Plus, the pumpkins are weird. I like seeing people's reactions."
