Michael: "My style springs naturally. Some say my style is retro, but retro suggests that I'm actively trying to dress like something in the past. No, there's certain things you feel comfortable in and certain things that you don't. This is what I feel comfortable in."
TorontoVerve: "What was the best advice you've received and from whom?"
Michael: "Every time I button up my shirt, I always remember my mom. When I was a child, it took me a long time to button my shirt straight. She advised me to always button my shirt from the bottom and then work my way to the top because if I start the other way, I could miss a button. I guess from a metaphorical standpoint, whenever you're going to do something, start from the foundation so by the time you get to the top, you'll get it right."
