Heather

Heather: "I usually wear utilitarian clothing -- things that are practical and cute. Sometimes things I find in the garbage. And I like to wear them for days on end until they get really stinky. I'm a mess right now. I haven't showered. I rarely wash my hair. It's great."

TorontoVerve: "Is there anyone who inspires your style?"

Heather: "Anyone I see, really.  Hobos. They wear practical clothing for all weather."

TorontoVerve: "What's the best piece of advice you've ever received and from whom?"

Heather: "Recently, my friend gave me advice because I was like really overwhelmed emotionally and was mean to people and I told him 'I can't stand being mean to people. What do I do?' He said, 'you've been through a really stressful situation recently and you should take a step back and know you're a good person and you'll get over your stress.' It wasn't the best advice that I've ever received, but it was the best advice I received yesterday. It meant a lot. He gave me a hug too."
