Jagmeet: Dashing on a Bixi

Jagmeet looks fantastic wearing his custom-made suit designed by Don Fabien Lee of Trend Custom Tailors.  He immediately caught my attention when I saw him briskly riding down Bloor and was gracious to show me the amazing craftsmanship of his suit.  I was particularly impressed with the red embroidery of his signature in Punjabi on the inside of his jacket (I'm kicking myself for not photographing it).

If Jagmeet looks familiar that's because he recently ran Federally for the NDP as a member of Parliament (he lost by 500 votes).  Now he plans to run again Provincially.  And since he's riding a Bixi bike in busy downtown traffic, it's safe to assume his position on the environment.

For information about his campaign, be sure to check out his website.

  2. Bixi's a pretty heavy bike - Love the play on words. Although your subject is impressively dashing no one can be 'dashing'(sic) on a Bixi!

  5. Thanks for posting another picture of a non-white 20-40 yr old female. Would be great to have more of these pictures as they are more reflective of Toronto! Someone from another ethnic background and as 'anonymous' said above someone others can look up to.

  7. @Anonymous - The bikes are so heavy and cumbersome that dashing is about the last thing you would ever be able to do/be on them - it's a play on the phrase and words...y'see?

  8. The dude is looking sharp, for sure, but I have to question the intelligence of wearing a three-piece suit while biking in Toronto in August. My balls sweat just thinking about it.

  11. In response to the 'con' comment: TorontoVerve never pays to shoot street style and unless otherwise noted, all participants were spontaneously approached for a photo opportunity (including Mr. Singh).

Thank you for visiting my site. Come back again.

    Regards,

    Nigel.

  12. So rugged, yet chic. Saintly, yet sexy. Is it wrong for me to think he's hot?
