Vivian in Kensington Market
We didn't see Vivian until she had already passed us, but her confident walk and cool boots drew us in. After we caught up to her, we were both bowled over by her kindness and rosy cheeks. Here, Vivian is genuinely smiling at a passing cyclist who couldn't resist shouting his approval.

Oprah at TIFF '09
I fought hard to get this close up of Oprah Winfrey at the "Up in the Air" premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson Theatre on Saturday September 12th, 2009. The crowd was in awe and the camera flashes were blinding. Staff and her entourage made it difficult to get close. Thank God for long lenses.

Chris Rock at TIFF '09
Dorothy and I caught Chris Rock twice during TIFF '09. Once at the "Good Hair" premiere and another at his 1-on-1 interview at the Isabel Bader Theatre. We briefly met him as he exited in the back to his SUV. He was very gracious with fans and drove off in the front seat. Dorothy shot this photo while I shook hands with him.
George Clooney at TIFF '09
George Clooney arrived early at his "Up in the Air" premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival at the Ryerson on Saturday September 12th, 2009 to greet fans. He was very personable and receptive. A woman couldn't find anything for him to sign but a cheque, and Clooney joked that he couldn't oblige signing anything that could be cashed. This was a first that I encountered an A-list celebrity giving this kind of attention to admirers.

Canadian Graffiti
Dance Video
I shot & cut a video for Lindsay Ritter's Commercial Jazz Workshop with Leon Blackwood at Canada's National Ballet School Jarvis Street Campus. Traditionally, videos like this are shot primarily by pointing the camera at the studio mirror, but I found that method to be too dull. I wanted to capture the joy and fun that the dancers were having and wanted to entertain viewers. Hopefully, you'll feel that I've achieved my goal.
